Barrels and Bins……….

I had never heard of a rain chain before and although it may slow the water as it leaves the gutter, it does not appear to move the water away from the foundation much. Isn’t that the whole idea of downspouts? I rather doubt that a home inspector would advise a home buyer to add rain chains rather than downspouts to handle the water.

We were expecting thunderstorms but ended up having a very nice ‘gentle’ rain (with a little thunder mixed in) that will definitely help the new plants. It shouldn’t have damaged any of them and gave them a badly needed soaking. This is the type of weather we are being told to expect over the next several days along with temperatures in the mid 80’s.
